The old roof had to go.

You made a good decision in removing this old roof and replacing it with a new roof. Not only did you ensure the security of your home from leaks and structural damage; essentially, you also protected your family from sicknesses that they may have gotten from mold formation and the like. I’m just curious, for how many years did you use this old roof? What material did you use for your new roof? Is it made of bricks?

I agree with Eugene that you made a good decision to remodel your roof. To prevent damage like water leaks, mold, mildew, and more, promptly replace broken or missing roofing materials as soon as possible to avoid further breakage. A weak spot may give the elements free access to the other parts of the roof, and that may lead to more materials breaking loose. It is always good to keep an eye out for your roof, since it is one part of the house that protects you from the harsh environment.

Replacing your roof will surely come sooner or later. To know if you already need to replace your roof, you should look for signs such as a sagging deck, leak or water damage, or lighting coming through your house from the roof.

Obviously, roofs need replacement when they have leaks. Oddly, some people have no idea that their roofs have a small leak until water starts to drip down through the ceiling. Take a walk around your home every once in a while. Or heed what Willie has said.

From the looks of it, the roof looks like it is about to give up any minute. So, it is good that you’ve decided to replace the roof. One role of the roof is to protect the house and everything inside, so having a weathered roof can certainly be troublesome. For example, if your roof got leaks, it does not only damage the roof, but it can also affect the ceilings and walls.

By the looks of it, it was probably good that you had the roof replaced. Also be mindful of critters and vermin that could camp on your roof. Insects like termites or carpenter ants can eat up and damage your roof, and raccoons and squirrels may want to cozy up on your roof if it has weak spots. They could very well contribute to the slowly deteriorating condition of the roof the winds and weather, so watch out for them and patch up small nicks when possible.

I agree with everyone. Your old roof was way beyond its limit! It’s a good thing that you were able to decide before anyone got hurt. Anyway, it’s been two months since you got rid of the old roof. Have you replaced it with a new one already? If not, are you planning to renovate or simply replace the roof? Hope things are good there, buddy!

It’s about time you changed your roof, the old one looked like it was about to give way anytime. Roofs are meant to protect you, not only against weather but other things like UV radiation. Cedar panels are a great example of a roofing material that can protect your home from UV rays and harsh weather conditions. So, what roofing material did you choose?

It would be best to have the roof properly maintained. :) You can try befriending roof contractors, and build good relationships with them, so that they might offer you discounts. Local contractors would be happy to do business with you since they know that they’ll be the first one you’ll call when you need help or service.

Looking at these pictures, it seems that your old roof would collapse anytime, endangering both your family and passersby. It’s good thing that you decided to replace it. You removed a potential danger in your home, and you improve the look of your house! Now that you’re living with your new roof, I’m pretty sure that you’re feeling more comfortable. Just be careful to check regularly for leaks to avoid any problems!

It really looks like it needed an overhaul already. It was certainly wise to replace your roof as early as possible before it fell apart or had any leaks. Anyway, your new roof has a nice shade! Be sure to conduct regular roof maintenance so that it would be in its best condition at all times.
